German A1 – building a solid & lasting foundation in German German A1 (beginners) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). |
Course Description
Participants will learn the key skills needed for everyday communication, such as introducing yourself, managing simple interactionsand giving personal information as well as understanding and using basic spoken and written German. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are systematically practised, reviewed and consolidated.

Beginners without or with basic German
Course Content
- simple everyday communications
- being able to understand and write short messages and simple texts and complete forms
- build up competency in the active use of the German language through basic vocabulary and foundation grammar
- achieving the German A1 level (beginners) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR)
Exam preparation
The focus is on achieving the required level efficiently and preparing for the Fide A1 or telc A1 language certificates within a short timeframe.

Designed for learners who have a basic understanding of German, the course expands vocabulary, strengthens grammar, and develops all four language skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing.Participants will be able to communicate confidently in everyday situations regarding family, health, work, hobbies and daily living as well as building confidence in dealing with official communication.

Learners who have completed German A1 (beginners) or with comparable, basic language skills
Course content
- competent use of German in everyday conversations
- ability to understand important information in simple written and spoken interactions
- ability to write short E-Mails and messages and to complete forms with confidence
- achieving German A2 level (elementary)in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Course description
The goal of German B1 is to become an independent language user. At this stage, participants can understand standard German on familiar topics andcommunicate in most daily situations such as work, travel, family etc.The ability tounderstand and write simple connected texts on a variety of topics is also taught. Participants expand their active vocabulary and grammar in order to be able to clearly state opinions and preferences through practical exercises.
Suitable for
Learners who have completed German A2 (elementary) or with comparable elementary language skills
Course content
- participating fully in most daily situations
- ability to describe and explain opinions, experiences and plans in a coherent manner
- ability to understand and participate in longer conversations or understand texts about familia topics
- achieving German B1 level(intermediate)in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The B2 German course helps participants to improve their speaking, reading, and listening skills for work, further education, and daily life. Participants further develop their ability to express themselves fluently and precisely, expanding their vocabularythrough more complex listening and reading materials. The course focuses oncore communication skills such as argumentation, discussion, presentation, and target-audience-specific writing.
Suitable for
Advanced learners who have completed German B1 (intermediate) or with comparable intermediate language skills.
